“Aircraft belonged to Johnny Perreria who used
it extensively on cargo flights between SA and Angola. Johnny and his crew
were forced down by the Angolan Air Force and had no option but to land in
Menongue in Angola. Johnny and his crew were arrested and jailed. The late
Bob Mcintyre and his crew then took the aircraft to Kinshasa hoping to
find some work there (and money to get Johnny bailed out of jail).
Unfortunately this did not work out and 3D-NJN was abandoned. It was
scrapped at Kinshasa.”
